When Someone Tells You “Anything’s Possible” What Do They Really Mean?

Do you believe that anything's possible? All of us have great potential. There are more possibilities in life than you can imagine.

You Are Born With A Richness Of Gifts

So much is possible in your life! You have great value just for being you. Rediscover your inner strengths by opening up to them through the wisdom of your inner self.  You will discover your inner self when you take time to discern what you enjoy doing.

What Do You Love To Do?

Do you like working in a team?  Do you prefer to work alone? Are you good with people? Do you like to problem solve? Do you love to resolve conflict?  Do you like to tell stories through the written word, audio, and or video? Do you have a flair for the visual arts? These are a few of the questions you can ask yourself?

The more you learn about yourself, the more you will know what feels right for you to do.  You will discover the dreams that are calling you into action.  You will know what you need to do. The possibilities for life are endless.

You will notice a lightness in your heart, a warmth in your body and a calm in your head when you discover a new path in life that is right for you.  Just because this is a great vocation for you to take does not mean that fear will not rise in you.

Be Aware Of Your Inner Critic

Often when you try something new, your inner critic will try to pull you back.  The inner critic is that negative voice you hear in yourself that desires to keep the status quo. It agrees with this saying: “the devil you know is better than the one you don’t.”

I encourage you to explore your inner critic. What does that negative voice in your head say over and over to you? Do you hear any of these statements in your head?

·        You are dumb

·        You are a bad parent

·        You are not smart enough

·        You are not worthy

·        You always mess things up

·        You do not deserve to be loved

Under stress, your inner critic will tempt you to follow old habits.

The quieter your inner critic is the possibilities for new life grow exponentially.

After you name what your inner critic is trying to say to you, I suggest you check out the facts. Are you dumb?  I don’t think so.  Are you a bad parent. No, you are an imperfect parent. Are you smart enough? Yes, you are bright.

You Have Value and Worth For Being You

You make mistakes. This truth does not mean that you are not worthy. You deserve to be loved no matter what mistakes you have made in life.  To be human is to love and be loved.

When you seriously look at the messages of your inner critic most of them do not hold up. There may be a little truth to them, for example, I am an imperfect parent rather than a bad parent. But in the end when we face the inner critic with honesty so much more in life is possible.

Befriend Your Inner Critic

But in the end and with practice, you begin to notice when your inner critic is speaking. You can thank the inner critic for trying to take care of you, assuring this negative voice that you can care for yourself.

You Are Not Good At Everything

Some of us make great medical doctors.  Some of us make great musicians. Some of us make great parents. I for one would not make a great medical doctor because I don’t like the sight of blood.

When you can honor your peculiarities, it frees you to be all you can be.

Anything's Possible

Once you free yourself of the inner critic and the negative voices of those around you, you are then free to go into your inner wisdom. Then anything is achievable within the possibilities of your life, which is much greater than you or I can imagine.

With practice opening up opportunities in your life become more and more exciting.

In the beginning, you might find it uncomfortable as you try out new experiences. But the more you do it, the easier it will get.  You will open a flow of energy within you that has been waiting a long time to come out.

You will be surprised by the new opportunities that will come your way. As you open up one direction, that will lead to another until you find your new path or paths in life.

If you find you have several ways you want to walk, don’t think you have only to choose one.  There are ways to live many of these out at the same time. For example, if you feel called to start a new pet care business and have a love of photography you might be able to combine them both.

Don’t settle for second best. Choose to live your life in a way that will bring joy to your heart and all those who come in contact with you.

You Are Amazing

Anything's possible! You were born into this world to make a difference. You have everything you need within you to discover where your path will take you. Living out your authentic life is an ongoing experience until the day you die. Enjoy the journey.
